As a member of the Petco Marketing leadership team, I have had the pleasure of working with Top Dog Marketing and Sharon Reed on a variety of projects over the last 6 years.

Petco contracted Top Dog Marketing initially in 2009 to assist in the start-up and development of a major loyalty and cause marketing program.  With Sharon leading the project management and despite shifts and hurdles along the way, I was impressed with her ability to complete the project on time and on budget. This required her to be resourceful and quickly assimilate to the corporation’s organization, process and procedures to become an extension of our internal team. It also required partnership with a cross functional project team including internal and external communications, creative design and production, outside vendors, merchandise teams, operations, ecommerce and CRM.

From this initial project, Petco continued to rely on Top Dog Marketing to help manage this ongoing loyalty and cause marketing program and expanded the project slate to include marketing campaigns support.  Again with Sharon taking point on this aspect of the Petco business, we were able to count on Top Dog’s role as a seamless extension of our internal team to help manage and execute fully integrated, national marketing campaigns including Petco Certified Nutrition, three Holiday seasonal campaigns and Petco’s National Adoption Reunion.  Each of these again required her understanding, and partnership with all areas of the business and marketing from creative development to event/ field marketing to merchandising.
